Advertising Account Manager: Are you an outgoing, strategic sales leader that likes to help local business grow? Do you wear a creative hat to help you think on your feet? Description: Lamar Transit Company is one of the largest and most financially stable companies in the advertising industry. We are continuing to grow even in a tough economy. We help businesses grow by promoting their products and services through transit advertising. We really love to sell our new line of "Wrapped" buses and light rail trains. Qualifications: We are looking for energetic team members with a proven record of successful sales for our South Bay office. Experience in advertising, positive attitude and a great sense of humor are a must! Strong knowledge of the local marketplace including consumer trends and popular area merchants and attractions. Minimum of 2 years media sales experience required - preferably in local advertising Strategic thinker with proven consulting and interpersonal skills. Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability sell at all decision-making levels. Self-motivated team player that can exceed goals and revenue expectations. Knowledge of the local media marketplace Able to work with minimal supervision while maintaining focus, productivity and meeting deadlines. Flexible, and able to quickly adapt to new situations. Responsibilities Include: Developing and cultivating leads using multiple sources including door-to-door prospecting. Setting up face-to-face and phone meetings with qualified prospects. Assessing potential business deals, negotiating favorable terms, and acquiring prospect commitment. Managing ongoing relationships with clients. Constructing proposals/contracts within selling guidelines. Communicating ongoing contact/sales activities Providing documentation on new client acquisitions to the Operations team.
